What is the Microsoft Excel Analysis ToolPak?
Quite simply, the Analysis ToolPak is an
Excel add-in that contains numerous date,
statistical, financial, and engineering
functions that are not included in the core
set of functions that are automatically
installed when you install Excel on your
computer.
The Analysis
ToolPak is developed by Microsoft and is
included in your purchase of the Excel
software. However, depending on the
options you selected when installing Excel,
you may have to go through a
few additional
steps to make the ToolPak functions
accessible to your worksheets.
Function
reference for the ToolPak functions is
included in the standard Excel help files.
However, if you attempt to use one of the
ToolPak functions without having the add-in
properly installed, the function will return
the #NAME? error.
